HEHEHE! While the cat's awaythe mice will play and boy are they playing. I am seeing red pens flying all over the place. It will be fun to see how things look by the end of this.
Today's blog challange asked us if we had a lucky charm of some sorts and well i don't have one. Actually a lot of the time I tell people that if I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have luck at all. I know it is negative but that is how things seem to work at times, not to say that I don't have good luck at times because I do. So that is that for me.
I am so bad at my blogging, course I wasn't very good at keeping a journal either. I went up and down on that. Sometimes I wrote everyday other times I was lucky to get one entry a month if that. The blog challanges however have been pretty good at keeping me motivated although I missed a couple of weeks. Thanks for the challanges girls. Keep them up.

What a day
Today's challange was to tell about your day today. This morning I told my boys that if they were good I would take them to the park, actually down to the church to ride bikes in the parking lot and they have a few swings. You would think that would be good. Oh no they promptly started fighting with each other and jumping off the couches, which this lasted most of the day. So I told them we were not going and my five year old looks at me and says he wants to listen and go to the park well that lasted all of maybe five seconds because the next thing I hear is laughing coming from the bathroom. Not the normal laughing but the laughing of we are not supposed to be doing this. So I walk in and all three of my boys are in there soaked and my three year old is spitting and throwing water all over the place. He totally soaked the bathroom and his brothers. This was just this morning.
This afternoon we headed down to Brigham because Josh had an apt there. When we got there Cole was sleeping so I decided to stay in the car w/ him instead of waking him up and I kept the other two with me. Well my 3yr old Ruger hops out of the car and walks up to the truck that is parked next to ours. I watched him not knowing what was on his mind and he opened the door to the gas tank and promptly tried to get the gas cap off. I told him to get back in the car and sit down and that wasn't ours and not to touch it. He just looked at me and said "not our truck." Thankfully Josh had come out by then and we could leave.
Then this evening we decided to BBQ since it was already hot and I didn't want to heat up the house any more. Well my little three year old follows Josh out the door and doesn't come back in. I was in the middle of things so I couldn't go check so I sent my older son out to see what he is doing and he doesn't come back in. By this time I was done and so I went out to see what they are doing. This time Ruger (3yr old) has turned on the hose and flooded the bottom of the driveway, which by the way is just dirt, he looks at me and says "I'm making a river." Both of them are standing in the middle of the puddle jumping up and down in it and Ruger still has the hose on. What a mess. So I had them go in the walk way and strip down to underwear and go in the house. I just wish they would have stayed there. They snuck out once again when Josh went to check on things and they go running through the backyard right through the dirt. It was a mess. Needless to say bedtime came early here. And how was your day?

Time for a little breather. I am updating my blog now. I am doing both challanges today. Icouldn't get the muppet test to work yesterday but I tried again today and it worked but Icouldn't figure out how to post it here. I am Rolf the Dog. That was fun. For today's my first job next to babysitting is I went and picked raspberries for three weeks at Bear Lake. I was 14 or 15 at the time. I went two years. It was a lot of work but fun to, probably because I was with a great group. What was even better about this was that I was on my own for three weeks, well away from my family, I was with a group from my area that went up together. I made pretty good money but it took me the hard way to learn to budget it. I spent it like crazy the first week I was there. After that I was way more careful about it. They paid us in cash at the end of each day, so you can now see how it was a temptation.
It has been a couple of crazy couple of days. Josh has been back and forth on a wildland fire in Hansel Valley. On Saturday we had a lightning storm move through and it sent everything into an uproar around here. Within a half hour there was at least 10 lightning strikes that required personal on. As each dept. finished w/ their call they were transfered out to Hansel Valley. So like from about 10pm Saturday to 7pm Sunday Josh was gone out on the fire. Needless to say he missed work that night but thankfully it doesn't count against him. Then he went back out at 8am Monday and made it back home long enought to change clothes and then head into work. He didn't go out today because he was catching up on sleep but he could have. Tomorrow is kind of a wait and see day. So it has been crazy and fire season is definitly here.

It has been abusy couple of days for me and now I am behind. Yesterday my husband got paged out on a fire in Howell that was threatening the post office, so he was gone for several hours on that. It was hard on him because he had just went to bed where he works the graveyard shift. Of course then today has been my day to say the least. This morning we had some errands to do so he didn't get to bed as early either. I had my own little fire. We burn out cardboard and well my dear husband told me to put gas on it because he is trying to use up an old jug of gas up and he doesn't want to just dump it. Well I used a little too much and some of the cardboard flew out, that was because I forgot to put the covers on before I lite it. Ooops! Well it started the weeds around on fire but I got it out pretty quickly. We do have the house nearby just in case something like that was to happen. It ended up burning a patch about five feet long and about two feet wide. It went fast. At least Josh didn't get upset and he just laughed at me when I told him I didn't want to let him have all the fun this summer. I learned my lesson let Josh do it if he wants the gas used other wise I will stick to lighting it dry or a little lighter fluid.
If that wasn't bad enough my middle son, who is three, is in the middle of potty training. Well today he wanted to wear big boy underwear and he was doing pretty good. Tonight I went to put the sprinklers on the lawn and all three of my boys were out with me. Well, I heard those dreaded words that parents don't like to hear when in the process of potty training "mommy I pooped." I turned around and definetly had and to make matters worse it was all down his legs and he had pulled off his night shirt so it got all over the back of him and the shirt. It was a mess. I put his back in the tub (did I mention he had one bath already since they were supposed to be in bed). So I told him no more big boy underwear for awhile.
At least one good thing came from today. I got Josh's grandma's b-day gift done. I will have to take pics and post them. Any way enough of all that, onto the challanges.
This one is for Wednesday's challange. My perfect day would be a day that my boys got along with each other, my laundry done (it seems like with four boys, 3 sons & hubby, it never is done), and I can scrap in a room of my own, not in the living room.
Thursdays challange I still need to do. It is kind of tricky where I don't have a specific spot for things they are kind of all over and where I have room. As soon as I do I will take pics. Sorry Nancy.

This is for Nancy's blog challange:
1. I got four lo done today. Now I just need to post them. One of them is for Noel's challange.
2. I am caught up in the gallery as of right now.
3. I was able to get all my errands done.
4. I was able to find everything I needed during my running around.
5. My 3 boys are healthy and full of life.
6. My parents are back from Florida, so no more rooster chasing me when I go to feed and check for eggs.
7. My ink cartridges came today for my printer.
8. My dh made it through another night on graves.
9. I have extended family nearby for those just in case times.
10. I survived one more day of heat. LOL.
11. I have a wonderful husband who is willing to do anything for our family.
12. I got some great pictures of the sunset last night.
Can I just say that I enjoy these challanges. It really helps at times to really stop and think about the small things sometimes.
Oh by the way. I thought of something else that I have done only once in my lifetime (so far anyway). I gave myself a black eye in college. I was on the colorguard and during practice my flag smacked my in the eye, I wasn't even doing anything really crazy just a basic move. To make matters even better I had a date for that night. I looked pretty sad, at least it was w/ at the time my future hubby. He took it all in stride.

YEAH! I actually got out of the house today for a little while. Things have been so crazy since my dh started the graveyard shift. It is a whole new experience. But the good thing is I have been able to do a lot more scrapping, hehehe.
I have to let you know I am really enjoying the site. It has really motivated me to get things done. So this is a good thing for me. It is funny because now ideas will come to me and I have to write them down or I forget them. Thanks to everyone for the inspiration and the friendship. Any way I have my list of things to do and what I want to do so it will keep me busy.
I don't have too many plans for the weekend except to work on my card for the card swap and then on Sunday we are going to my il house to celebrate birthdays (notice the plural form). We have six birthdays this month on my dh side of the family, not to mention two of those are my younger boys. Wow how time flies, it seems that not to long ago Austin was born and now he just lost his first tooth this past Sunday and will be starting school this fall. Jimminy. Enough of my ramblings.
I didn't ge tmy Thursday Challange done so i will do it now. It is to reflect on my life and things that I am thankful for. I actually have been doing some of that lately. Recently I just watched the movie "Ladder 49," excellent movie by the way, and it got me to thinking about how thankful I am for my husband. He is a volunteer fire fighter for the dept. where we live and so the movie hit really hard for me. He has been on the dept. for almost three years now and he has loved every bit of it. I really do believe that it does take a special person to do what they do, granted most of the calls that the dept get called on are either medical or wildland fire it is still very scary at times. It is kind of eiry when his pager goes off because you never know what they are getting called out for. I am thankful for the fact that he is willing to give of his time to protect and look out for his community.

I have been thinking about this challange all day and the only story that comes to mind is when I was in kindergarted and we had just learned the song "Found a Peanut." I was all excited when I got home and started singing and when I got to the part about got a stomach ache, I said got a stummy ache instead and it kind of stuck from then on. Actually while I was typing this another story they like to tell. My dad had made my sister and I bunkbeds, I mean these weren't your normal bunkbeds it was huge. Any way they like to tell people how I would gnaw on the edges of the bed. Actually I did that and you could see the teeth marks all around the top bunk. So these are two stories that I hear a lot.
Since I didn't start this until Monday I will update. My oldest son Austin lost his first tooth on Sunday! It is hard to believe he is old enough for that already. I am and have been trying to prepare myself for when he starts school this fall. He is very excited and can't wait. I keep telling myself it will be alright but I don't know. Any suggestions any one?

I am a day late for Nancy's challange yesterday but I am going to do it any way. Some of the things I would like to accomplish for the month of June is I would like to be able to do all the challanges for the guest dt on TTS. I would like to get my house more organized. I would like to finish memorizing The Proclamation of the Family. Those are a few things I would like to accomplish in June.
Yesterday we celebrated my middle son's b-day. He is three now but if you ask him how old he is he says "I'm a big boy now." It makes me laugh. He can be so cute but quite the handful at the same time. He is my mischief maker of my three boys. It just amazes me on what he comes up w/ at times. I find myself asking 'where he came from.' He is so busy.
Today's blob challange: What in your lifetime has only happened to you once?
1. I have lived out of state once and that was when I was younger. My family lived in CA until shortly before my 7th b-day.
2. I am married and sealed to my true love. We have three very busy boys right now.
Those are the only thing that I can think of right off hand but will continue to think about it.

Well I decided to jump in and try a blog.
Today is my middle sons, Ruger, 3rd birthday. Wow how they grow. We went yesterday to my parents house and celbrated w/ them and had a lot of fun. This Sunday we wil be celebrating it w/ my husband's family since this month we have six from his family to celebrate, so we are doing one big party.
We are going through a bit of a change right now. Josh just started on the graveyard shift last night at his job. I will be wierd to have him home during the day. Talk about messing w/ the routine of things. heee heee.
